Charles Buist is a co-founder of Spetsas Buist Personal Injury & Car Accident Lawyers, a plaintiff's personal injury and wrongful death law firm in Orlando, Florida. He is licensed in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina, and handles complex injury and wrongful death litigation across all four states.

His practice focuses on serious-injury and death cases, with particular emphasis on amusement park and theme park injury claims and negligent security cases, along with trucking and commercial-vehicle collisions, car accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death. Mr. Buist's background is unusually deep for a trial lawyer. He earned his J.D. and an M.B.A. from the University of South Carolina, graduating cum laude from both the School of Law and the Darla Moore School of Business. He also holds a Masters from Vermont Law School's Environmental Law Program, where he graduated magna cum laude.

In law school, he served as Research Editor of the South Carolina Law Review, was named to the Dean's List every semester, won 4 CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, and was inducted into the Order of the Wig and Robe. He then completed two federal judicial clerkships over three years: for the Honorable Joseph F. Anderson, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, and for the Honorable David R. Duncan, then Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge. He is admitted to multiple state and federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
