Tony Buzbee is one of the leading trial lawyers in the United States and has obtained more than $2 billion in judgements and verdicts.

In 2009, Tony received a $100M+ verdict against BP for 10 plaintiffs in an exposure case –reported by the New York Times to be largest in history against BP.

In 2012, after evading justice for decades, Tony brought suit against Amarillo’s Stanly Marsh, the famous Cadillac Ranch artist, on behalf of many minors that Stanly Marsh had sexually assaulted over many years -profiled in Texas Monthly (May2013).

In 2015, he was named Texas Lawyer of the Year by ALM. During that one year he obtained 4 substantial verdicts –with 3 being on list of Top 50 Verdicts. The following year he won a $41 million verdict –the highest admiralty law verdict.

Also in 2015, Tony was lead lawyer on a high-powered criminal defense team for former Texas Governor Rick Perry, who was battling a charge of abuse of official capacity. The charges were dismissed.

In 2020, Tony was inducted into the National Law Journal Verdicts Hall of Fame for a $159m verdict in Worker/Workplace Negligence/Safety and a $41m verdict in Admiralty/Mariime.

Tony Buzbee has been repeatedly recognized as a Texas “Super Lawyer” by Thomson Reuters. Buzbee has been profiled in several books, as well as Texas Monthly, and has appeared on the cover of the New York Times Magazine.
